Moon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Moon is an astronomical body that orbits planet Earth, being Earth's only permanent natural satellite. It is the fifth-largest natural satellite in the Solar System, and the largest among planetary satellites relative to the size of the planet that it orbits."

This accidental composite was taken August 19, 2016 at Backridge Observatory when the moon was full.  The telescope was the 16" Newtonian and the camera was a ZWO ASI174MM.  Each mosaic was about 1000 frames taken over 10 secs. and processed with Registax 6 picking the best 250 frames.  The resulting three panels were combined in PhotoShop.
